It seems highly likely that these are the same 4 that are being tested in Texas for acute toxicity. Also below is a comment posted on a NZ news site that is apparently a reprinted news story about the NZ tests that lists the percentages of active and inert ingredients in each. Looks like 2 are microencapsulated, one is waxy "splat" and one is plastic flakes. ERMA is NZ's environmental risk management authority. BTW, If you google these chemicals, you may find a NZ news story in which a NZ scientist, Philippa Stevens, is quoting as saying LBAM is a serious pest. Jeff Rosendale contacted NZ Hort Research after that story came out and was told that Ms. Stevens said she had been misquoted. She was later quoted in the SF Chronicle as saying LBAM is not a significant pest in NZ. The synthetic pheromones are: * Less than 24 kg of Checkmate containing 4kg of active ingredient. About 17 percent is pheromone and 83 percent other ingredients. * About 8 kg of NoMate containing 1.6 kg of pheromone (20 percent active ingredient and 80 percent other ingredients). * Up to 40kg of Splat containing 4 kg of active ingredient (10 percent pheromone and 90 percent other ingredients) * And 30kg of Disrupt Bioflake containing 4.5 kg of active ingredient (15 percent pheromone and 85 percent of a biodegradable flake, plus about 190 litres of X3221 Micro-Tac II Sticker to apply the flakes. * Up to 20,000 Isomate plus twist-ties containing less than 2 kg of active ingredient. * CheckMate has Environmental Protection Agency approval in the USA, and approval is being sought for Disrupt and Splat.
